Arnold Schwarzenegger was reportedly in Hamilton to shoot scenes for his Netflix series.
The Terminator star has been filming the second season of Fubar in Ontario. He was spotted in Elora, a small town near Guelph, in April.
And now there are reports Schwarzenegger was filming in a hangar at the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport in July, according to the Hamilton Spectator.
At least one fan heard the news in July.
“Good morning Mr. Schwarzenegger,” a fan posted on X on July 19. “I believe you are filming Fubar 2 at the Hamilton Airport . As one of your biggest fans, it’s would be a dream come true to meet one of my hero’s while in YHM.”
Film crews had set up trailers at the airport in mid-July, according to a post on Reddit.
“…they have a huge filming crew there this morning that takes up the entirety of the Warplane Heritage Museum with the codename of ‘Oink’,” the post from July reads.
Oink is the decoy name for Fubar, according to multiple news reports.
The series was also filming in Mississauga in July.
FUBAR 2 is listed on the City of Toronto filming site with production starting on April 29 and wrapping on Aug. 30.
Fubar tells the story of Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger), a CIA operative who hides his career from his daughter. Soon after he learns his daughter Emma Brunner, played by Monica Barbaro, is also in the CIA and they are forced to work together as partners.
The first season was filmed at several key locations in Mississauga and Oakville in 2022, including Sherwood Village (formerly the Sheridan Centre) and Colossus Greek Taverna.
