Brampton luxury carjacking armed teens

A group of teens have been charged after allegedly carjacking a man before crashing his luxury vehicle in Brampton, police say.

The armed hold-up happened on Tuesday shortly before 6 p.m. while a man was in a parked vehicle at his home near Cottrelle Boulevard and McVean Drive in Brampton.

Police say two suspects wearing masks approached the man while he was exiting his luxury vehicle, and that one of them had a weapon.

The carjackers demanded the driver’s key and vehicle, and the victim turned them over as he was “fearing for his safety,” police said.

The two suspects fled in the victim’s car followed by a third suspect driving a getaway vehicle that had been previously reported stolen in Toronto.

Police tracked the vehicle and said the two suspects were involved in a collision. The carjackers tried to flee on foot but were arrested by officers, while the third suspect was arrested the following day while driving the stolen getaway car.
