Amazon Prime’s brutal superhero battle royale series The Boys has wrapped filming its fourth season across the Greater Toronto Area including in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton.
The series follows a group of vigilantes, the titular Boys, as they combat the absolutely powerful and absolutely corrupt superhero team The Seven and their corporate backers Vought International.
The Boys have grown from super-strength to super-strength over their so-far three-season run. The latest outing in 2022 was the eleventh-most-viewed streaming series of the year to become Amazon’s most-watched show, overpowering their superheroic rival Marvel Cinematic Universe series on Disney+.
Series showrunner Eric Kripke took to social media today to announce the conclusion of filming, months after he announced Day One back in August 2022.
2am. We're exhausted. Bloody. But triumphant. My heart is full of love & gratitude to this all-time-great cast & crew. THAT'S A WRAP ON SEASON 4, MOTHERFUCKERS. #TheBoys #TheBoysTV @TheBoysTV @PrimeVideo @SPTV @JackQuaid92 @KarenFukuhara @KarlUrban @lazofficial #ErinMoriarty pic.twitter.com/KO02cU776t

The cast and crew have called the GTA home during production since the first season. A host of locations in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and Oshawa can be spotted in early seasons from the palatial Parkwood Estate to a lonely Streetsville gas station.
Central events in the series take place at a $50 million mansion on Doulton Dr. in Mississauga where The Seven hold tryouts to replace members lost to The Boys’ rampage.
Another major locale from season three, which hosted the debaucherous Herogasm orgy of superpowered sex and violence, was another Mississauga mansion on Doulton Dr. This home is no stranger to such shenanigans as it was once frequently used by the Rolling Stones as a crash pad in the 1970s.
Series star Karl Urban, who plays The Boys’ leader Billy Butcher, come to love the area, announcing “Daddy’s home” in character as Butcher when he landed at Pearson Airport to resume filming.

After months of work, Urban again to took social media to announce the end of filming writing, “That’s a picture wrap on season 4 [of The Boys]. Massive Thank you to our phenomenal crew and cast. Love you guys!”
The post came complete with a shot of Urban and newly joined cast member Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who joined this season in an unknown role.
His casting reunited Morgan with two friendly faces from his days on Supernatural as John Winchester including Kripke, who created both programs and Jensen Ackles, who played John’s son Dean Winchester and now stars as Soldier Boy on The Boys.
The Boys isn’t the only show in the Vought-verse filmed near by. A spin-off focused on young “supes” in training called Gen V recently wrapped filming at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus and Brampton’s Claireville Conservation Area.
Gen V is set concurrently with The Boys season four, but will premiere before it in 2023. Currently neither show has a release date.
