Almost 5,000 homes, businesses without power in Mississauga

Thousands of homes and businesses in Mississauga are without power this afternoon.
Alectra, the electrical supplier in Mississauga, reports that 4,848 customers lost the use of electricity around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
The area affected is around Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue.
Crews have been dispatched to the area, but the cause of the outage has not yet been determined.
The estimated time when power is to be restored is between 5 and 7 p.m.
According to Alectra, power will come back online gradually for customers from now until later this evening.
