A man has been arrested after police say a neighbourhood prowler was peering into a teenage girl’s bedroom in Clarington on Wednesday around the dinner hour.
A man was reported to be sneaking around Concession Street East and Trudeau Drive in Bowmanville around 6:30 p.m., Durham Regional Police said.
The prowler reportedly scaled the side of a home in the residential neighbourhood, according to police, before reaching the girl’s window and knocking on the glass. He then ran away from the home.
Investigators used local security cameras to identify a suspect. Christopher Michaud, 42, of Clarington, has been charged with voyeurism. The charge has not been proven in court.
Michaud has since been released from custody with conditions.
