Over a dozen food vendors are coming to Brampton this weekend for a new all-halal food festival.
Now in its second year, the All Halal Food Tour has been travelling across Ontario since May and the food festival will make its first stop in Brampton this year.
The event promises to be 100 per cent halal-friendly with “no pork, no alcohol, no cross-contamination” to ease any concerns about how the food is prepared and give peace of mind to the Muslim community or anyone attending the festival. All the meat and poultry served at the festival is provided by The Meatheads Store ad will be “all halal-by-hand,” organizers say.
More than 15 vendors will set up shop at the Bramalea GO station from Friday to Sunday (June 9 -11) to feed hungry guests, and there will also be entertainment, activities, games and contests.
Brampton is the second-to-last stop on the tour this year before heading to Toronto for a two-day festival at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. Organizers Night Market Toronto (NMTO) say the tour is Ontario’s largest food festival series and “the only female-founded business in the vendor management/food festival space.”
