Beginning next month, the City of Brampton is opening registrations for fall programs for the first time since the start of COVID-19.
Programs will be available to view online starting August 28. Available programs will include among other things, swimming and skating lessons, gymnastics and learn to play sports programs.

This year, Brampton Recreation will run two shorter sessions for fall registered programs, one from Sept. 20 to Nov. 7, and the other from Nov. 8 to Dec. 19.

To register starting Sept. 1, call 311 or visit Brampton Recreation online.

In-person registration system training sessions are available across the city until Aug. 27. Residents are invited and encouraged to sign up for a personal appointment with a system specialist to learn how to use the registration system, ask questions, and receive helpful tips for future reference.

Health and safety measures around COVID-19 will be in full force in all city recreation centres. The well-being of patrons, staff, and the community continues to be the City of Brampton’s highest priority.

Brampton Recreation will implement reduced capacity, mandatory face masks, protective barriers in reception areas, and reconfiguration of furniture/equipment to ensure all facilities and programs follow health and safety guidelines from the Government of Ontario and Peel Public Health.

This also includes frequent touch point cleaning, sanitizer stations throughout recreation centres, staff dedicated to cleanliness checks, and COVID-19 specific training for all staff.
