Home invasion leads to suspect in custody in Caledon, police say

One person is in custody and investigators are searching for information about a black Jeep after an early morning home invasion in Caledon on Thursday.
The break-in happened around 5 a.m. when the OPP says officers from the Caledon detachment were called to a home on Ann McKee Street in Caledon East.
Police say they were called to the home for reports of a home invasion in progress.
One person was located and arrested by officers and police are asking the public for information regarding the incident.
Police say they believed the break-in was a targeted incident and “there is no imminent threat to public safety.”
Information about the suspect has not been released but police say they were driving a black Jeep Wrangler that was spotted in the area.
Police have released an image of the suspect vehicle and are asking anyone who may have surveillance or dash camera footage of the area from 5:15 a.m. to 6 a.m. to contact investigators.
