If you’ve ever wanted to take a deep dive into the world and culture of Sikhism, this new Brampton exhibit is for you.

Described as the world’s first immersive multimedia experience on the Golden Temple, the IN5 Exhibit will officially open on Tuesday, April 16 at 70 Peel Centre Drive, right next to Bramalea City Centre.

“Immerse into a never-before, enveloping and enlightening experiential journey into the history and beliefs of Sikhi — one of the world’s youngest religions — and its consummate soul: Harmandar Sahib (The Golden Temple), Amritsar,” says the exhibit’s website.

“An amalgamation of high-end multimedia technology and in-depth research, the show covers 30,000 sft. space, using smart walls, motion sensor walls and 42 projectors to recreate the Temple and the Sikhi history, philosophy and way of life.”

The exhibit, which took 18 months to put together, aims to incorporate the biographies and histories of the ten Sikh Gurus in order to make their history accessible and illuminating to visitors.

Starting April 16, the exhibit will be open from 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday to Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday to Sunday.

Ticket prices vary for visitors of different ages. Adult tickets cost $20 ($28 on the weekend). Students who can present a valid student ID card will have a discounted rate of $16 on all days.

“The visually stimulating experience is sure to inspire, motivate and educate. For the devout Sikh, it’s about his relationship with the Guru, while, for others, it’s an enlightening exposure to a unique faith.”
