Burlington Canada best lifestyle crime list

Burlington has been named one of the best places to live in Canada by a company that caters to those looking to move to this country.

The formula used by MovingWaldo to determine the rankings were safety, affordability and quality of life.

Burlington was rated fifth on the list of six.

“Burlington, Ontario is the perfect blend of a small town with big-city amenities as it is located halfway between Toronto and Niagara Falls,” the evaluators at MovingWaldo write in their evaluation. “The waterfront city is assuredly one of the best places to live in Canada with a…crime rate lower than the average.”

They go on to say that Burlington is an excellent choice for those looking to relocate because of the job opportunities and the accommodating nature of its residents.

“Many have noted Burlington’s quality, multiple amenities and welcoming community, making it easy for anyone to integrate,” they continue. “Residents can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking the famous Niagara Escarpment or taking a walk along the Waterfront Trail on the shore of Lake Ontario.”

Other communities making the list are Wellington County, Ont. in the top spot followed Oak Bay, British Columbia (No. 2), LaSalle, Ontario (No. 3), Levis, Quebec (No. 4), and Edmundston, New Brunswick (No. 6).

MovingWaldo suggests that those moving to Canada should research the cost of living in each community and consider culture, amenities, parks, housing options, and safe areas.

As well, it suggests looking outside of large cities to small communities.

“These smaller cities and towns offer outstanding quality of life for those looking for a fresh start,” they say.
