911 is having technical difficulties in Mississauga and Brampton

Police in Mississauga and Brampton are reassuring residents that any 911 calls will be answered.
Peel Regional Police say the region’s 911 dispatch was “experiencing intermittent issues with incoming calls due to technical issues” early on Wednesday evening (June 8). As a result, some callers who are in need of emergency assistance have been disconnected.
The police emphasized that anyone who is disconnected should call back.
“Our technicians are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” Peel police said in a tweet. “Calls to 9-1-1 WILL BE answered.”
