UPDATE: Correction. Police told insauga.com that there were six vehicles involved in the collision, and not seven, which was the number initially reported.


A young man has been apprehended in connection to a multi-vehicle collision in Mississauga that resulted in several people being transported to the hospital.

On Saturday (Nov. 26) at approximately 6:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police responded to a crash involving seven vehicles on Eglinton Avenue between Intrepid Drive and Churchill Meadows Boulevard.

An officer told insauga.com that roads where the crash occurred was closed off to motorists for several hours before reopening at 11:30 p.m.

Although six individuals were transported to the hospital, authorities clarified that it was for precautionary reasons, with no significant injuries reported.

Police told insauga.com that they have detained a youth—age currently undisclosed— who is now facing charges involving dangerous operation of a vehicle and stunt driving.
