$6M home among 5 most expensive properties sold in Mississauga

The most expensive homes sold last month all went for over $3 million in Mississauga.
In a cooling market, many homes have been selling for under the asking price, particularly in the high-end market.
A recent report found 70 per cent of homes purchased across the Greater Toronto Area in August sold for less than listed.
Home prices have remained flat or declined this year. Condo apartments had the largest average price drop, falling month-over-month by four per cent to $606,523. The detached home average price was $1,553,878 in August but the most expensive homes sold for more than double that.
Real estate brokerage Zoocasa put together a list of the most expensive homes sold in August in Mississauga. All but one home sold for under the asking price.
Here are five of the most expensive homes sold last month:
376 Meadow Wood Lane
This custom-built four-bedroom home is nestled at the end of a private laneway surrounded by multimillion-dollar homes of Rattray Park Estates.
Features include an outdoor kitchen, cabana, swimming pool, wine cellar and a triple-car garage.
This home sold for $3,388,000, under the $3,600,000 list price.
2480 Mississauga Rd.
Located down a long private drive, through a gated entry, this four-bedroom home features fireplaces a grand hall with traditional oak wainscot walls and French doors.
There is a finished basement with space for a bar, gym and games room. In the backyard, an in-ground pool is surrounded by large mature trees.
This place sold for the list price of $3,705,000.
1277 Queen Victoria Ave.
Envisioned by architect Gren Weis, this home was brought to life by Design Labs. This four-bedroom, Lorne Park home was recently built.
Features include maple cabinetry, built-in ceiling speakers, motorized blinds, a theatre room, a fitness room and a nanny suite.
This home sold for $3,880,000, under the list price of $4,499,850.
44 Wanita Road
This four-bedroom home in Port Credit boasts 23-foot ceilings and white oak hardwood floors.
There is a formal dining room, spice kitchen, and gourmet kitchen with Miele and Wolf appliances. The living room has a custom stone feature wall and a gas Napoleon fireplace.
The basement features a recreation room, bar, gym and wine cellar.
This home sold for $4,300,000, under the list price of $4,799,888.
1285 Tecumseh Park Dr.
The most expensive home sold is a five-bedroom residence on a 1.52-acre lot in Lorne Park. This house was redesigned in 2017 and features heated marble floors, built-in surround sound, electric and gas fireplaces, and several walkouts.
The finished basement boasts a fully-equipped home gym, a theatre, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, a large recreation room and a hockey arena.
This place sold for $6,000,000, under the $6,888,000 list price.
