5 things to do in Mississauga this weekend: Mar 10 to 12, 2023

Friday is officially among us which means it’s time to figure out how to spend the weekend.
Even though snow is expected today (Mar. 10), there are still plenty of things to do in Mississauga.
Between all the city’s parks, trails and restaurants to choose from, those looking for something to do in the city have plenty of options.
So, without further ado, here are five things you can do this weekend (Mar. 10 to 12, 2023) in Mississauga.
Check out this event at Celebration Square
Celebration Square in Mississauga is hosting its final winter magic event this weekend. The event, called “Winter Magic presents: Wildlife Wonders,” will take place on Saturday, Mar. 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The event aims to help residents “break the ice” and “embrace the great outdoors” with several winter activities including a scavenger hunt, films on the screens and more. It is also set to feature dancing giraffes, a DJ spinning music, food trucks, face painting inside City Hall and more.
Additionally, it will feature a Polar Bear petting zoo, where attendees will be able to take pictures with giant bear sculptures and campfire surroundings.
Watch a musical performance
The Hunchback of Notre Dame musical has hit the Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga.
Along with iconic songs from the Disney animated film, the show will also feature new songs by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.
The show will be on until Mar. 12, 2023, and tickets start at $32.

A yoga and shopping event called the Alo Yoga & Shopping Event with Holt Renfrew, will take place on Mar. 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Grand Rotunda, located at Entrance 3.
The yoga class will be led by instructor Jaclyn Erer, and will be followed by a private shopping event featuring a special selection of Alo Yoga activewear, accessories and beauty.
Tickets are $150 and include a promotional gift card of the same value which will be valid from March 12 to 18, 2023, as well as various deluxe beauty samples and more.

The Sunday Antique Market takes place on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Small Arms Inspection Building, located at 1352 Lakeshore Rd. East.
The market features over 80 vendors from across Ontario and Quebec who offer unique items from the past, designers, antique aficionados and savvy collectors.
The free all-ages event also features items from Victorian to mid-century modern, vintage jewellery, antiquarian books and other eclectic pieces, including rare antiques and sought-after vintage items.

The event, called Docs and Lattes, will take place at Studio.89, located at 2520 Eglinton Ave W Unit 1 on Friday, Mar. 10, and aims to break the silence on human trafficking and modern slavery.
At the event, attendees will be able to watch Avenue Zero: Canada’s Human Trafficking Shame which is a true crime documentary with real stories. Following the film screening, a panel discussion will feature representatives from Peel Police, Nisa Homes, Bridge North and International Justice Mission.
While the event is free, those who are interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance as there is limited seating.
