The most expensive homes sold last month in Mississauga come with luxury features such as in-ground pools and home theatres.

The real estate market has been sluggish with experts predicting an increase in sales this fall in the GTA.

“As buyers take advantage of changes to mortgage lending guidelines and borrowing costs trend lower, home sales will steadily increase in relation to population growth,” said Toronto Regional Real Estate Board president Jennifer Pearce in the latest report.

In Mississauga, the average home price remained nearly unchanged in September.

Despite the slow market, expensive homes are selling. Real estate brokerage Zoocasa most expensive homes sold list shows most properties sold for close to the asking price.
