5 of the most expensive homes sell for under $4M in Mississauga in July

Real estate activity has been sluggish this summer in Mississauga and many of the most expensive properties are selling for under the asking price.

Homes were taking longer to sell, up to 33 days in June. Home prices were also fairly flat. The average price of a detached home experienced a modest increase of one per cent from May to $1,551,752.

The high-end market tends to be a tougher sell and last month, four of the most expensive homes sold went for under the asking price, according to a list compiled by real estate brokerage Zoocasa.

All of the five homes on the list went for under $4 million.

Here are five of the most expensive homes sold in Mississauga:

2360 Cliff Rd.

This Cooksville area home has four bedrooms and boasts 4,102 square feet of space on the main and second floors. The basement has an additional 1,969 square feet with another bedroom.

Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. There are laundry rooms upstairs and downstairs.

This place sold for $2,730,000, under the list price of $2,799,000.


1079 Pelham Ave.

Located in Lakeview, this custom-built home has more than 4,700 square feet of living space. High-end finishes include white oak hardwood floors throughout, custom-built cabinetry by Millworx, heated tile floors, built-in seven-zone speakers and a skylight on the second floor.

The fully finished walk-up basement leads to a large yard with a covered porch.

This place sold for $2,935,000, under the $2,999,000 list price.

This five-bedroom home was custom built by David Small Design. Located in the City Centre, this home features dark hardwood flooring, nine-inch ceilings and wainscoting throughout. More than $100,000 was spent on landscaping and hardscaping.

This place sold for $3,080,000, over the $2,799,999 list price.

This four-bedroom, five-bathroom home is steps away from Lake Ontario and Rattray Marsh. The home’s features include large living and dining rooms, a sunken family room and an extended island in the kitchen. The primary bedroom or a possible in-law suite with a bathroom is also on the main level.

It was on the list of most expensive homes sold in Ontario in July.

It sold for $3,900,000, under the $4,248,888 list price.

This six-bedroom home in Cooksville is Feng Shui certified by Master Paul Ng and it is also custom built by David Small Designs. Features include floor-to-ceiling windows, a butler’s pantry, quartz counters in the kitchen,  limestone accents and mahogany doors.

This home sold for $3,999,999, well under the $4,798,999 list price.
