5 most affordable homes that recently sold in Mississauga

If you plan to jump into the Mississauga housing market in the not-too-distant future, you might be able to grab a more affordable property.

Although home prices in Mississauga are down from the highs they hit earlier in the year, it wouldn’t be accurate to say that dwellings in the city are particularly affordable. In fact, the average home price in the city still sits at $1,022,312 and with borrowing costs being steeper after multiple interest rate hikes, “affordable” is not a word you’d use to describe the local market.

That said, real estate website and brokerage Zoocasa recently unveiled a list of homes that changed hands for quite a bit less than $1 million. 

Here’s a look at the five most affordable homes that recently sold in Mississauga:

201 – 3501 Glen Erin Dr.

This three-bedroom, one-bathroom condo that spans up to 1,199 square feet recently sold for $440,000 after hitting the market at $479,000. The unit, located in Erin Mills, boasts three bedrooms (a rarity), an open-concept living and dining room, an upgraded kitchen and a large balcony. 

1409 – 75 King St E.

This Cooskville condo, which spans more than 700 square feet, recently sold for $445,000 after being listed for $399,900. The unit features one bedroom, one bathroom, an upgraded kitchen, a large living and dining area and a solarium. 

805 – 3065 Queen Frederica Dr.

This Applewood-area condo with two bedrooms, one bathroom and over 900 square feet of space recently sold for $461,000. It was listed at $468,900. The unit offers large rooms, laminate flooring, upgraded kitchen features and proximity to shops, parks, trails and transit. 

412 – 35 Trailwood Dr.

This spacious (up to 1,199 square feet) condo sold for $470,000 after hitting the market at $500,000. The unit boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, ensuite storage and an underground parking space. The building is close to Square One, highways and transit. 

306 – 3501 Glen Erin Dr.

This Erin Mills-area condo features two bedrooms, one bathroom and over 800 square feet of space. It recently sold for $475,000 after being listed at $479,900. The unit features an open-concept kitchen and living area, a large master bedroom with a walk-in closet and two parking spots.
