5 homes priced at under $900,000 in Mississauga

While the average price for a single family home is well over $1 million in Mississauga, there are some cheaper homes on the market.

The average price of a single-family detached home was up 2.17 per cent to $1,563,717 in Mississauga in August. And the benchmark price of all home types was $1,127,200 in August.

And as interest rates increase, home buying costs are higher these days. The last Bank of Canada rate hike brought the key interest rate up to five per cent, which impacts mortgage costs.

All this is making it difficult for buyers but for those who need a home, there are some lower prices.

Real estate brokerage Zoocasa compiled a list of seven of the most affordable homes on the market in Mississauga. Zoocasa specifies it is not intended to solicit buyers or sellers currently under contract with a brokerage.

There are also several more homes listed on Realtor.com under $900,000, however, some appear to be in need of repair or renovations.

Here are five homes listed for under $900,000 in Mississauga as of Sept. 20:

3968 Lacman Trail

This three bedroom, semi-detached home is in the heart of Churchill Meadows. It features  hardwood floors on the main and upper floors, a fenced in backyard and gazebo. It is listed for $869,888.

3397 Spirea Terrace

Another semi-detached home but this one is in Lisgar, near the border with Milton. This three-bedroom home has open-concept living spaces “bathed in natural light,” according to the listing. It also features a modern kitchen and a finished basement.

This home is listed at $899,900.

578 Leatherleaf Dr.

This three-bedroom semi-detached home has thousands of dollars in recent upgrades. It features an open, modern kitchen. It’s close to amenities including Square One and has easy to access to Highways 401, 410 and 403.

This home is listed at $899,000.

This two-bedroom, detached home has a large in-law suite in the basement. It also sits on a huge lot. Located in Fairview, it is near the QEW and Highway 403.

The list price is $799,900.

Located in Lakeview, this three-bedroom home has a retro feel with a carport. There are hardwood floors throughout and a side entrance to a basement with high ceilings. It also comes on a large lot.
