A dip in the pool, sampling festival food or laying on the grass and listening to some music at Gage Park.
If you’ve got a hot date for the summer months, you need to begin planning what to do.
And there’s a lot to choose from!
5) Get adventurous
Get the most of the weather before you have to hibernate for the winter again. Brampton has some bike trails to choose from. Take the Etobicoke Creek Trail and bike around scenic views, with a camera, of course! Or take hike a hike at the Eldorado Park Trail. Looking for an activity? How about Treetop Trekking at Heart Lake Conservation Area? You can also learn to fish at Heart Lake!
4) Get hot and sandy
Show off your new bathing suit to your date. Head down to Professor’s Lake and have a beach day. Compete at a game of beach volleyball, build sandcastles, take a dip in the water or rent a boat and paddle away. Have a relaxing day lying on the sand and get some quality time with your date!
3) Go horseback riding
Head to Claireville Ranch for a unique date. You can take an hour-long trail ride in the woods, along streams, along fields and hills. And, you get to see some wildlife too; right from deer, hawks, beavers to various birds. So, have your camera ready! Or you could opt for a breakfast ride at the ranch. Arrive in the morning and head out on a trail ride and extend it to eat breakfast cowboy style! Get a plate full of scrambled eggs, hash browns, beans cooked Claireville-style (the ranch has a special recipe!) and more. Dates have already been scheduled for the breakfast rides, so call in to book soon.
2) Learn to make Wine
Taking a class together sound fun? How about a class where you can learn to make your own wine? Super romantic. Head over to Vin Bon and get all the knowledge you need to make wine on-site and at home (they have all the supplies to whip up a good batch). For a more personal experience, head to Corks Winery. They have something for beginners and the connoisseur. Make your own and pick from their line of international ready-to-go bottles. At Vintner’s Cellar you take care of the taste of your wine and they take care of the fermentation process. And in five weeks, pick up your batch (30 bottles!). Accent on Wine has a similar concept. Your wine is ready for pick up in four to six weeks and you can enjoy 30 bottles for months!
1) Indulge in food
This summer is an exciting time for couples who love to eat together. An epic food truck festival is happening this summer at Chinguacousy Park, or, you can scope out some of Brampton’s best restaurants.
