I moved to City Centre a little over a year ago and I haven’t looked back. My condo, though small (some would say “cozy”), is centrally located and has more than enough space for one person with mediocre cooking skills (I don’t need a large kitchen to prepare a beautiful roast for my non-existent children who would likely hate it anyways and demand pizza or something), a super-cool espresso machine (there’s always room for a basic bitch latte apparatus), apartment-sized furniture and more clothing than necessary.

All kidding aside, it’s a fun and vibrant neighbourhood that’s a pleasure to live in. You’re steps away from Square One and surrounding shops, cafes and restaurants. You can hit up a Rabba to buy eggs, brie, falafels and toilet paper and then get some work done at Spin on a Thursday night while enjoying a savory crepe. After a hard day of piecemeal grocery shopping and crepe eating, you can work off your day — both physically and emotionally — at Moksha Yoga before grabbing a late-night shaken iced tea lemonade from Starbucks on your way home. You can also enjoy the sounds of live music and vigorous exercise emanating from Celebration Square at all times. Oh, and you can also enjoy people shrieking and yelling outside of Rabba (you’ll get used to it and maybe find it charming).

So you want to live in City Centre? Here are some condos you can check out!

What City Centre is Missing & Has Too Much Of

To be fair, Mississauga’s condo-heavy City Centre is in no way devoid of activities. There are restaurants (albeit big box ones). There’s Square One. There’s a movie theatre, a smattering of plazas (some with really good Indian food), an attractively lit and happily-staffed Whole Foods (come for the cheese display, stay for the cheery service!), an LCBO (perfectly located if you’re hosting a condo party!) and a Playdium (good for 12-year-olds).
