Now that the weather is starting to warm up, and the Province is starting to reopen certain facilities and permit certain activities, you might be itching to get out and hit the links—especially if you still aren’t working due to the pandemic.

Whether you want a relaxing afternoon with just yourself and the course to escape the stress of your job—and possibly replace it with the stress of missing a put—or an active afternoon out with your family, these are the 5 best golf courses near Mississauga.


5: Coppinwood

Located in Goodwood, southwest of Uxbridge, Coppinwood is massive, 357-acres of rolling landscapes.

The course is a par 72, and has five sets of tees to allow golfers of all experience and skill levels to be able to play and enjoy themselves.

The course features 18 playable holes as well as a practice facility.

4: Copper Creek

Located in Kleinburg, a suburb of Vaughan, Copper Creek has 18 playable holes as well as a driver range—however, the driving range is only available to playing guests.

The course overall is a par 72—most holes are par fours with a couple par fives and par threes sprinkled in—for both men and women, and each hole offers five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of varying skill levels.

3: Wooden Sticks

Located in Uxbridge, Wooden Sticks was designed by architect Ron Garl, and 12 of the 18 holes were modelled after a different hole made famous by the PGA.

The course overall is a par 72—most holes are par fours with a couple par fives and par threes sprinkled in—for both men and women, and each hole offers five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of varying skill levels.

2: Eagles Nest

Located in Maple, Canadian Golf Magazine ranked Eagles Nest as the 25-best course in Canada and seventh best amongst all public courses.

The course overall is a par 72—most holes are par fours with a couple par fives and par threes sprinkled in—for both men and women, and each hole offers six sets of tees to accommodate golfers of varying skill levels.

Toronto at Osprey Valley’s Hoot course, located in Caledon, is a Tournament Player’s Course (TPC), and was ranked as number 37 of the 100 top golf courses in the country by scoregolf.
