Four people were rescued after a fire broke out at a low-rise building in Mississauga on Saturday morning.
Firefighters from Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services responded to a blaze on Morning Star Dr. in Malton around 10:30 a.m., and found residents trapped on a balcony. All four victims were safely rescued, but it remains unclear if they were all on the balcony or if some were inside the unit.
It is also unknown if any of the victims sustained injuries and whether they were minor or serious.
The fire was brought under control shortly after and crews conducted a secondary search to ensure no one else was inside.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
More information to follow should it become available.
