A suspect sexually assaulted a three-year-old child before committing an “indecent act” at a Brampton hospital, police allege.
Peel Regional Police said an arrest has been made and officers are now looking for possible witnesses in relation to the incident.
Police said it happened at around 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
A 3-year-old child seated in a stroller was inside of a hospital in the Bramalea Road and Bovaird Drive area, police said.
A suspect then approached the child and touched them, police allege.
“Shortly thereafter, the suspect attended another area of the hospital and allegedly committed an indecent act witnessed by adult visitors within the facility,” police said.
Brampton resident Brandon Ramnath, 31, was arrested and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and committing an indecent act in a public place.
Police said they’re encouraging any other possible victims who haven’t contacted officers to come forward.
Anyone with information on the case was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
