It’s officially the season for enjoying delicious food under the sun, and some of Mississauga’s most popular restaurants and patios are open at Heartland Town Centre.
Located around the intersection of Mavis and Britannia, the popular shopping centre is the biggest outdoor shopping destination in Mississauga, and is perfect for grabbing a bite after getting some shopping done.
Heartland is home to hundreds of stores and businesses, as well as over 50 popular eateries that cover all cuisines and cravings. With a growing number of local and international restaurants of all kinds, you’ll find what you’re hungry for here!
If you’re looking for a place to eat outdoors and enjoy the weather, here are three great restaurants to check out from Heartland Town Centre’s restaurant scene:
There’s never a bad time for pizza, and Famoso is the pizzeria with personality. The popular pizzeria and bar promises a fun and lively atmosphere to enjoy your meal in, whether you’re dining inside or on their patio. It’s also one of the only places in Mississauga to enjoy Neapolitan pizza, the classic pizza native to Naples, Italy that’s known for its soft crust and gobs of gooey mozzarella.
The restaurant offers a wide selection of pizzas in different styles and sizes, including classic 12-inch Neapolitan pizzas, plant-based and gluten free pizzas, as well as a sharable 15-inch Grande pizza. The extensive menu also includes pasta dishes, Italian sandwiches, soups, and salads, as well as share plates and tapas that are perfect for sharing around the table.
Pair your meal with a drink from the bar, such as their refreshing cocktails (including Italian-inspired favourites like the Aperol Spritz and Limoncello Lemonade), wine, beer, espresso and tea. For dessert, their tiramisu, cheesecake, and other delicious options are perfect for capping off a fantastic meal.
Every visit to The Keg feels like a celebration with some of the best steak and drinks around. The popular steakhouse serves the finest cuts of steak and prime rib, aged for tenderness and flavoured with their unique seasoning blend. Delicious appetizers and succulent seafood (like the Pistachio-Crusted Salmon drizzled with maple butter) round out the classic menu, or you can share their casual dishes around the table: Three-Pepper Wings, Shrimp Cocktail, Prime Rib Sliders and more.
The bar serves refreshingly cold drinks that are perfect for enjoying on the patio – when the summer sun is beating down, enjoy a refreshing Keg Sangria, a classic Keg Caesar, or their hand-crafted Danny Ocean, Watermelon Cosmo, or Black & Blue Margarita. From wine to cider to scotch and more, The Keg has you covered for any craving.
The restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner. The Heartland location also offers a Keg Happy Hour with specially priced food and drinks from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends.
Milestones

Milestones Bar and Grill has become one of Mississauga’s go-to spots for their unique twist on globally inspired food. They feature a variety of dishes such as their signature portobello mushroom chicken, sweet chili chicken bowl, spinach and artichoke dip, California spring salad and white chocolate cheesecake, all of which are made with the freshest ingredients.
If you’re dining outdoors, the restaurant’s large and spacious patio offers a ton of comfortable booths and even has heaters for those cool summer evenings. It’s the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a meal and a drink, like their signature Original Bellini (Peach liquor, white rum, sparkling white wine and sangria), one of their most popular drinks which helped put Milestones on the map.
With a Halal menu, Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m. every day, an exclusive date night menu every Wednesday evening, and an excellent brunch menu on weekends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there’s something for everyone at Milestones.
