UPDATE: One dead, 2 people in hospital following 2 vehicle crash in Brampton

UPDATE #2: In a recent video posted on social media, Constable Richard Chin of Peel Regional Police provided additional information on the crash, saying both vehicles had extensive damage.

Two of the victims were “airlifted, and one was taken by ambulance to trauma centres,”  Const. Chin said.

The passenger of one of the vehicles subsequently died.

Police have not indicted the identities of those involved in the crash, including their ages and places of residence.

The roadways will remain closed for further investigations.

UPDATE #1: Police say one man has died as a result of the two-vehicle crash and that more updates will be provided later this afternoon.


Three people have been rushed to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Brampton this morning.

Peel Regional Police responded to a collision at Bovaird Drive West near Heritage Road shortly after 11 a.m.

Police say two men were taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. Another man was also taken to a local hospital. However, the extent of his injuries remains unknown.

Officials have not specified which of the two vehicles the three victims were in.

The crash area remains closed and drivers are advised to take alternate routes.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
