Three teen boys have been arrested after an armed robbery at a Kitchener store over the weekend, police say.
Waterloo Regional Police said that on Sunday at around 4 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at a retail location in the area of Fischer Hallman Road and Ottawa Street South.
Three suspects allegedly entered the store and stole items.
Police said a gun was also fired during the robbery, but no injuries were reported.
Waterloo police “quickly” identified the suspect vehicle and worked with the Ontario Provincial Police, officers said.
The vehicle was found a short time later in Peel Region, police said.
Two 14-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy, all from the Greater Toronto Area, were taken into custody. They were held for a bail hearing.
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
