2 people charged with firearm and drug offences following Brampton traffic stop

A man and woman face firearm and drug charges following a Highway Traffic stop in Brampton last month.
Peel Regional Police say two firearms, one of them loaded, along with a quantity of drugs were recovered during a traffic stop at Great Lakes Drive and Bovaird Drive East on Sept. 27.
Manjinder Singh, 27, of Brampton, and Sukhmanpreet Kaur, 22, of no fixed address, each face multiple charges, including possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, unauthorized firearm possession and opioid possession.
Both were held for bail hearings.
Officials did not specify the relationship between the suspects or how they knew each other.
