Police have made two additional arrests after a man was found shot to death in a car in Brampton this past summer.
Peel Regional Police say officers responded to a call shortly before 1 a.m. on Aug. 30 about a “suspicious vehicle” reportedly parked, with engine running, in the driveway of a house near St. Tropez Court and Milestone Drive.
Upon arrival, police found the body of an unresponsive man inside the vehicle who had been shot.
On Saturday, detectives from the Homicide Bureau arrested Manvir Khabra, a 21-year-old man from Brampton, and an 18-year-old man also from Brampton, both on charges of manslaughter.
The men were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, with the identity of the 18-year-old not being disclosed due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
On Sept. 3, 23-year-old Parmvir Singh, also from Brampton, was arrested in connection with the same incident and charged with first-degree murder.
At the family’s request, the victim’s identity is not being released by police to the public.
Police have previously stated they believe the shooting was isolated to those involved and does not appear to be a random act of violence. The motive behind the incident remains under investigation.
Detectives urge anyone with information about this investigation to contact the Homicide Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
