2 Brampton residents face drug trafficking charges in Caledon investigation

Two Brampton residents face charges following a drug trafficking investigation.
The investigation started earlier this year in Caledon and led to several searches in Brampton on Tuesday, OPP said in a press release on Thursday.
Caledon OPP executed the search warrants with assistance from the OPP Canine Unit, Peel Regional Police, and OPP officers from Dufferin, Nottawasaga, Orillia, Huronia West and Collingwood.
Two Brampton residents were charged.
Javere Grignon, 27, of Brampton, faces several charges including drug trafficking cocaine and oxycodone, possession of a firearm or ammunition, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, police said.
Grignon was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville.
Shamar Cummings, 26, of Brampton, faces drug trafficking charges and a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, police said.
Cummings has a court date in Orangeville on Aug. 19.
