13-year-old sexually assaulted in Halton; Toronto man charged

Halton Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl.
Officers say the alleged incident happened after the suspect used social media to connect with the victim. Police say a man drove Halton to pick up the victim the evening of the assault. Before the assault, the two had never met in person.
Police have not indicated where in Halton the victim lived or when the alleged incident occurred.
Yesterday (Dec. 16) police charged Masoud Abdulla, 35, of Toronto with the following:
- Sexual assault
- Luring by telecommunications
- Sexual interference
- Obtaining sexual services for consideration
Police believe there may be other victims adding that the name “tsmith9423” was used on social media by the man arrested.
