10-year-old riding bike hit by car in Brampton

A young girl is in hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a car while riding her bike in Brampton last night.

Peel Regional Police say the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. near Drummondville Drive and Riseborough Drive, where a white Honda struck the 10-year-old.

Peel paramedics reported that the girl was taken to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries. Updates on her condition are unknown.

The driver of the Honda remained at the scene, though it is unclear if any charges will be laid.
