1 dead, 5 injured in devastating two-vehicle collision in Brampton

A devastating two-vehicle collision in Brampton late Saturday night has left one person dead and five others injured.

The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. near Steeles Avenue and Finch Avenue.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find one vehicle had collided with street lights while the other sat heavily damaged at the intersection.

Peel Regional Police confirmed one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Of the six individuals involved, one survivor is in critical condition while four others sustained serious injuries and are receiving medical treatment.

The area near Gorewood Drive and Finch Avenue remains closed to all traffic as police investigate the cause of the collision. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes while officers reconstruct the scene and gather evidence.

Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward as they continue their investigation.
