A transport truck fire that appears to have spread to the grass closed Hwy 407 in Brampton.
Brampton Fire and Emergency services said they responded to a truck and grass fire in the westbound lanes of Hwy 407, east of Hurontario Street.
OPP added that the vehicle was a line-painting truck. There were no injuries but there would be ongoing cleanup due to chemicals and hazmat fire.
All lanes were closed around 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15. Fire crews asked drivers to stay clear of the area.
A video shows the truck engulfed in flames at the side of the highway.
There is no word on the cause of the fire.
