Vehicle torched at Oakville storage facility

A fire at an Oakville storage facility has been deemed suspicious by investigators.

According to reports, firefighters responded to a call at SmartStop Self Storage on South Service Road in Oakville just before 5 a.m. on June 24.

There, they found a vehicle on fire which was promptly brought under control. Another vehicle parked nearby was also damaged.

Police say none of the storage units were affected by the flames.

Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire but consider it suspicious as it may have been deliberately set.
