Vehicle Fire Blocks Lane on Highway 403 in Mississauga

Police and Mississauga Fire/Emergency Services are on scene for a traffic hazard this afternoon.

The OPP’s traffic division reported around 4:00 p.m. that a vehicle fire had occurred on Highway 403 eastbound, approaching Mavis Road.

The right lane is currently blocked as a result of the fire. There is no information yet on the cause of fire or any potential injuries.

Officers are working to clear the scene. Drivers should avoid the area for now.

UPDATE: The vehicle has been towed away and the lane is now clear.
