Fire crews were kept busy on Tuesday fighting multiple fires including a transport truck that went up in flames in Brampton.
Brampton Fire & Emergency Services (BFES) said the fire happened outside of a commercial property in the area of Rutherford Road South and Stafford Drive.
Peel Regional Police say a transport truck caught fire and a photo shared by firefighters showed smoke rising from a commercial building in an industrial area with multiple BFES vehicles and personnel at the scene.
There has been no word on any injuries related to the incident but firefighters said the blaze had been contained and crews were working to knock down the fire.
BFES said drivers can expect to see road closures in the area and are asking residents to avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
The fire is at least the second one in Brampton of Tuesday and follows a two-alarm house fire in the area of Edenbrook Hill Drive and Bovaird Drive in Brampton.
That fire also led police to put Edenbrook Hill Public School and St. Angela Merici Catholic Elementary School under shelter-in-place orders as a precaution.
