Suspicious vehicle leads police to forged documents and charges for Brampton man

Reports of a suspicious vehicle have led to stolen property and forged document-related charges for a Brampton man near London.

The arrests happened in the early morning hours on Saturday after the OPP says officers were called about a suspicious vehicle on Peach Street in Tillsonburg, approximately 60 kilometres east of London.

The call came in around 12:30 a.m. and police say investigators say a 26-year-old female from East York and a 27-year-old from Brampton were arrested shortly after.

Police say the female suspect was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, while the male was hit with two counts of fail to comply with release order and one count each of obstruct peace officer, use, deals, acts on forged document, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The OPP says Alexandria Batchelor, 26, of East York, and Jordan Omaly, 26, of Brampton have been charged. Police say the accused were scheduled to make a court appearance in Woodstock on July 30.
