Suspect wanted after one man stabbed in Brampton

Peel Regional Police are on the hunt for a suspect who is believed to be connected to a Brampton stabbing that left one man with serious injuries.

In the early hours of Saturday (June 22), police responded to an altercation between two people near Haggert Avenue and Denison Avenue.

On arrival, police say a man was located who had been stabbed. He was transported to a trauma centre where he remains in life-threatening condition.

Officials have not provided further details on the victim, including his age and place of residence.

According to detectives, the suspect has been tentatively identified as 35-year-old James Shipley-Dean of Brampton. Authorities are seeking a warrant for his arrest on charges related to attempted murder.

James is urged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the police.
