A building project that has been considered in Burlington since 2021 is back on the table with a new plan.

The proposed building is at 276, 284 and 292 Plains Road East between Filmandale Road and Shadeland Avenue in Aldershot.

The project, currently going through the planning process at the City of Burlington, calls for a 7-storey building with 141 living units with a mix of one, two and three bedrooms.

If the project proceeds it will also include 153 parking spaces of which 100 will be underground. There will be room for 71 bicycle parking spaces. The top floor will contain the building’s mechanical system and amenity areas for the residents.

When the plan was first presented in 2021 it called for 6-storeys and 117 units.

Currently, there are unoccupied homes on the site that have been used for office and commercial purposes.

A public meeting has been called to discuss the project further.

The meeting will take place at Burlington City Hall, at 9:30 a.m. on May 13. It can also be viewed online at www.burlington.ca.

Details on how he can speak at the meeting can be found here.
