Four Burlington restaurants have earned their way onto the list of Canada’s 100 Most Popular Outdoor Dining Restaurants.

Compiled by OpenTable, an online restaurant reservation service company, the list is based on data collected through reviews of restaurants nationwide.

The restaurants are named at this time each year as they open up patios for the warm weather.

Once again Spencer’s at the Waterfront has made the grade.

Located along the city’s lakefront, Spencer’s offers spectacular views to go along with its versatile menu.

From fresh market fish and seafood items to steaks and an extensive wine list, Spencer’s continues to be a local favourite.

“Located on the Burlington lakefront, Spencer’s at the Waterfront hosts a stunning patio and a glass-walled dining room with breathtaking views. Great for a group or a romantic setting. Sip wine while enjoying a fresh and innovative menu highlighting local and seasonal produce, seafood towers and dry-aged craft cut steaks,” reads OpenTable’s review of Spencer’s.

This is the third time that Spencer’s at the Waterfront has made an OpenTable top 100 list.

Burro also made the list.

“Burro is a lively taco joint that is just as much about fun as it is food,” says OpenTable about the restaurant. “This great hangout is open from lunch until late at night, meaning it can be a great place for an afternoon snack, a spot to do some late-night dining and everything in between. Some of the tacos that guests will find here include a classic fish, spicy Brussels sprouts, charred broccoli & summer corn, achiote chicken, jerk pork and spicy beef cheek.”

Next on the list is Downtown Bistro & Grill. This is what OpenTable says about this patio place:

“Relax in a casual elegance and linger over great food and fine wines; all in the centre of downtown Burlington. Private parties and small weddings are also available to make your next affair one to remember. Chef Mike’s Downtown Bistro & Grill offers a fine selection of dishes, such as delicious pastas, and fresh seafood. Enjoy the sunny patio from spring to fall and watch a beautiful sunset.”

Last but not least, OpenTable points to The North Coal as a place to visit.

Why The North Coal?

“The concept was created by the feeling of being away from city life with family and friends. That’s Northern Ontario, but as lucky as we are to experience that way of life, not everyone is. The mission of North Coal is to provide that feeling regardless of your surroundings,” says OpenTable. “Located in the heart of Downtown Burlington, The North Coal is the perfect place for summer drinks, family dinners or just a place to kick back with your friends after a long week.”

According to OpenTable, the list was generated from over 1.1 million verified OpenTable diner reviews and dining metrics
