Most expensive home sold for $8.7M in Mississauga in April

One of the most expensive homes sold in Mississauga went for $8.7 million in April.

The real estate market is poised to see a huge price spike this year, according to experts. There have even been some bidding wars in areas of Ontario.

However, multi-million dollar homes are typically more difficult to sell.

A new list from real estate brokerage Zoocasa finds the most expensive homes sold in Mississauga last month all went for under the asking price.

Here are five of the most expensive homes sold in April:

Located in Mineola West, this four-bedroom home has been meticulously maintained under family ownership for 50 years, according to the listing. Set on an acre lot with landscaped front and back yards, the home backs onto a creek.

This place sold for $2,900,000 on April 21, under the asking price of $3,500,000.

1656 Bramsey Dr.

This Lorne Park home features a self-supporting staircase, a large den, a stone gas fireplace in the living room and four bedrooms with three ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen features floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the backyard.

This place sold for $3,600,000 on April 1, just under the $3,750,000 list price.

1230 Tecumseh Park Dr.

This five-bedroom home in Lorne Park has a gas fireplace in the living room and hardwood floors throughout. The fully-finished basement includes a home theatre, family room and recreation room. Plus there is an in-ground saltwater pool, jacuzzi, cabana bar and stone patio in the backyard.

This home sold for $3,725,000 on April 4, under the $3,949,850 list price.

4034 Wilcox Rd.

This four-bedroom home in Rathwood features four fireplaces, five skylights, a 40-foot foyer with a designer three-storey chandelier. There is a separate heated garden office, a custom timber pergola and a three-car garage with an epoxy floor.

This home sold for $4,140,000 on April 13, below the list price of $4,288,000.

The most expensive home sold in April was listed for nearly $9 million.

One of the “Doulton Estates” homes in Sheridan, this four-bedroom home is a raised bungalow inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, according to the listing. Set on a 1.6-acre property, the home overlooks the Credit River.

It comes with an elevator, multiple balconies and a walk-out basement.

This place sold for $8,750,000 on April 3, under the $8,988,000 list price.
