Mississauga relaunching the Play in the Park program this summer

The City of Mississauga is bringing back a major summer staple this year as the Play in the Park program is relaunching in outdoor areas across the city. The incentive, which is free and supervised, is designed to keep children in the Mississauga area engaged in outdoor activities throughout the summer season. 

The program will be available for children ages six to 12 and is launching on July 2.

According to information provided by the city, this program will operate on a first-come-first-served basis, additionally, any parents dropping off children will have to sign documentation with city officials. 

Parks in the Mississauga region that will be involved in the Play in the Park program include:

  • Barondale Green 
  • Brickyard Park
  • Brookmede Park 
  • Ceremonial Green
  • Community Common Park
  • Forest Glen 
  • Hillside Park 
  • Lisgar Fields 
  • Rosebush Common 
  • Serson Park 
  • Shawnmarr Park 
  • Neebin Park 
  • Union Park 
  • Victory Park 

Additional information on the outdoor program, such as the daily schedule for each park’s Play in the Park activities can be found on the city’s official website. At the time of publication, the City of Mississauga has no details on what the exact activities will entail, however, representatives have indicated that more information will be provided soon.
