A barn behind The Old Britannia Schoolhouse, a historic site, has been consumed by flames.

Police say there have been no reports of physical injuries at this point and the cause of the fire is being investigated.

However, the massive fire has resulted in the closure of Hurontario Street in both directions.

Northbound traffic is being diverted at Bristol Road, while southbound traffic is redirected at Matheson Boulevard.
