Brampton Transit needs a $9 Billion overhaul by 2041

Big changes are coming to over a dozen Brampton Transit lines thanks to feedback from riders on some of the city’s busiest routes.

The city held four town hall meetings this month to share updates to the Brampton Transit annual service plan and hear from residents about their experiences riding Brampton Transit.

Among the service plan highlights is the Chinguacousy Road Züm project which is planned to travel along Steeles Avenue and Sandalwood Parkway with limited stops to reduce travel times and real-time bus information.

But dozens of other changes are coming later this month that are likely to impact a lot of daily commutes.

Here are all the changes coming to Brampton Transit routes starting on April 29:

Even more public transportation options will be coming to Brampton now that the province is moving ahead with the Hazel McCallion LRT line and an expansion into downtown. The province says the Hazel McCallion line extensions have been marked as “priority transit projects.”
