Police seized a loaded gun outside a strip club in Mississauga.

The gun, with an extended magazine, was found after police searched a vehicle under the Liquor Licence and Control Act on Saturday (June 29), Peel Regional Police said in a press release today (July 2).

The vehicle was in the Enterprise Road and Atlantic Drive area, which is the location of Cafe Atlantis, a well-known strip club near Pearson Airport.

This isn’t the first time a weapon has been seized in the area. Earlier this year a gun and drugs were seized outside the club.

Courtney De’Irish, a 29-year-old man from Nova Scotia, is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, unauthorized possession of a loaded device, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, and having care/control of a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
