It will be a great start to the long weekend, but late afternoon clouds could lead to a late evening shower across southern Ontario.

Friday’s (June 28) sunny skies and comfortable temperatures will be spoiled by a rainy, wet Saturday according to the latest weather forecast by Environment Canada.

The day will kick off with sunny skies, before becoming increasingly cloudy in the early afternoon. Wind will become southeast at 20 km/h later in the morning.

There will be a high of 23 degrees Celsius during the day. The UV index will be 9 or very high.

It will be a cloudy evening with a 30 percent chance of showers later in the evening and overnight. The overnight low is expected to be 16 degrees Celsius.

We will lose a minute of sunlight with the sun rising at 5:40 a.m. and the sun setting at 9:04 p.m. In all, there will be 15 hours and 24 minutes of daylight.
