June 25 Weather: Sunny start then showers and thunderstorm across southern Ontario

A fairly good start to the day will gave way to clouds, high winds and a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening across Mississauga and southern Ontario on Tuesday (June 25).

Another unstable day is on tap weatherwise according to the latest forecast by Environment Canada.

The day will start off mainly sunny, but it will becoming increasingly cloudy late in the morning with a 30 percent chance of showers and risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon.

Winds become south at 20 km/h and gusting to 40 km/h and then southwest at 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h later on in the morning.

The high will be a comfortable 23 degrees Celsius, though the Humidex will make it feel like 30 degrees Celsius. The UV index will be eight or very high.

The evening will be partly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers. There will be the risk of a thunderstorm after midnight. Wind will be south at 20 km/h and becoming lighter early in the evening.

An overnight low of 17 degrees Celsius is expected.
