This weekend could be the last blast of hot summer weather for the season in southern Ontario.
While temperatures dipped down to the single-digits last weekend, this weekend will be the complete opposite.
As reported earlier this week, a heatwave is expected due to a high-pressure system from the remnants of Super Typhoon Yagi.
Starting Thursday, temperatures are forecast to rise and feel like over 30 C for the next few days, according to the Weather Network and Environment and Climate Change Canada.
On Thursday, the forecast is sunny with a high of 28 C, feeling like 33 C with the humidex in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton Region and Durham Region, Environment Canada says.
It could feel like 35 C in Hamilton.
More of the same is expected on the weekend.
On Friday, the high could reach 29 C, feeling like 35 C in much of the GTA.
It’s slightly cooler on Saturday with a high of 26 C expected, feeling more like 32 C, according to the Weather Network.
On Sunday, the Weather Network forecasts a high of 27 C, feeling like 33 C.
