UPDATE: Peel Regional Police said early this afternoon that there were no injuries and that the fire “does not appear to be suspicious” in nature.

Firefighters and police are on the scene after fire broke out at a Mississauga home this morning near the QEW, the flames also setting a parked vehicle ablaze.

Peel Regional Police said on a post to social media that the blaze erupted at about 10 a.m. at a home in the Selsey Drive/Pear Tree Road area of the city, north of the QEW between Cliff Road and Cawthra Road.

A parked vehicle also caught fire, according to police.

The house was evacuated and no injuries have been reported, police say.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes.

At 3:17 p.m., a video posted to Facebook showed a clear view of the blaze:
