Milton secret garden tour

A tour of some of Milton’s most beautiful gardens is being held this weekend.

Hosted by the Milton & District Horticultural Society, the annual fundraising event will take visitors on a journey through seven exclusive residential gardens secretly hidden in their own neighbourhoods.

You’ll meet up with gardeners in your plant zone and discover unique ideas on design and plant selection. Gardens description and driving directions are inside a brochure provided upon ticket purchase.

Great bonus options include a complimentary coffee and muffin at Springridge Farm. You can also take advantage of the many special offers exclusive to tour participants.

During the tour, homeowners will invite you to walk and talk gardens. This year, each garden will have an artist among the flowers who will be displaying their amazing garden art on the seven properties.

Early bird tickets, prior to the event, cost $20 person. You can buy them in person (cash only) at La Rose, 327 Bronte Street S. or online.

On day of the tour, tickets will be available at Springridge Farm for $25 between 9 a.m. and 12 noon.

Proceeds from the event help maintain the Serenity Garden in Milton District Hospital, gardens in Allendale Long Term Care Facility, Deborah Home, Sunny Mount Community Gardens and many others.

The tour is open Sunday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
